So you are getting ready to take that much needed camping trip.

A long overdue vacation to the woods to relax, wind down and enjoy the simple things in life.

But your kids still need to eat. You need to eat. You are spending time with friends and will need to have food on hand to go with those tasty adult beverages.

Sigh….

Sounds like a lot of work.

There goes your relaxing weekend away….Given up to cooking and cleaning dishes.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the average American woman spends 50 minutes per day preparing meals and cleaning up after the meals

Fifty minutes??? I spend at least that much time, usually more.

Now imagine how much longer it’s going to take you to cook and clean up without the convenience of your kitchen?

Relax. I have you covered.

I am going to share with you my top go to easy camping meals that are sure to please everyone and still let you have the time to relax and enjoy your camping adventure.

What’s for Breakfast?

Normally during the work week I grab a quick breakfast.

You know, the basic standards..

Coffee & Toast

or

Coffee & a Yogurt

or

Coffee & a Bagel

 

 

Definitely coffee.

But when we are camping, we have what my husband calls a “Real Breakfast“.

Does the fresh air make you hungry?

It sure makes me hungry. When I am outside all day I usually need a snack around 3 o’clock.

Not to mention, 3 o’clock is adult cocktail time.

So to go with those frosty beverages I usually serve a snack.

      Thanks for reading my blog.
      I have gotten my dried cherries from both Amazon and Whole Foods.
      I have not tried freeze dried food in jars/bags but I am going to definitely look into it now that you have mentioned it. Sounds like a great idea!
